Job Description:

DITSONG: Museums of South Africa (DMSA) is seeking a highly competent individual for the permanent position of Publications Editor. Reporting to the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, the successful candidate will earn a salary of R702 065.80 and will be responsible for overseeing editorial services, verifying facts and statistics, developing content ideas, and conducting research on trends within museological practices. To qualify for this role, applicants must possess a graduate qualification in education, arts, or a related field, combined with a minimum of three (3) years of experience working as an editor. Essential competencies include an in-depth knowledge of the heritage industry, exceptional grammar and copywriting skills, and strong project management capabilities.
