1. Introduction & Scope

DITSONG: Museums of South Africa (DMSA) is committed to providing exceptional service and clarity regarding all bookings, events, and ticket sales. Please review our policies below carefully.

2. Returns and Refunds

Due to the nature of museum admissions, event bookings, and heritage services, standard ticket sales and general bookings are non-refundable except under specific circumstances outlined in our cancellation and force majeure provisions.

3. Cancellation

1. In the event of unforeseen circumstances experienced, a cancellation must be communicated.
2. Cancellations done before 7 days of the event are subject to a 20% cancellation fee. Cancellations done within 7 days of the event will not be refunded unless a replacement could be secured in which case a 20% cancellation fee will be charged.
3. In the absence of communication, if the client fails to attend the booking, the booking shall be deemed cancelled, and any amounts paid shall be retained by DMSA.
4. In the event that DMSA cancels a booking due to circumstances beyond its control, the full amount paid shall be refunded.

4. Postponement

1. Postponement of a booking is permitted provided the new date falls within the same calendar year otherwise, no refund will be issued. Only one postponement is allowed and must be requested before at least seven (7) days prior to the event date.

5. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This policy and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
