The 42nd Traditional Mampoer Festival at the DITSONG: Willem Prinsloo Agricultural Museum is back on Saturday, 7 June 2025, and promises to be a highlight on Gauteng’s cultural calendar. Kick off your morning with the nostalgic roar of engines as the Pretoria Old Motor Club launches its annual 200 km Mampoer Rally at 09h00. These veteran cars are a sight to behold and give festivalgoers a glimpse into motoring history.

For adrenaline junkies, World of Motorsport’s off-road rally cars will be tearing up the track with impressive sprint demonstrations, showcasing speed and skill.

The day is packed with traditional entertainment:

Children will be spoilt for choice with a dedicated kids’ area featuring a petting zoo, face painting, jumping castles, pony rides, Boeresport games, arcade games, ox wagon rides, and exciting treasure hunts.

The Highveld Veteran Tractor Club will also run fascinating displays of mealie meal threshing and vintage engine workings—true to the roots of traditional South African farming life.
